My Legacy

MY LEGACY

I want to amass a huge inheritance made up of kindness and good deeds.

It will be made up by a well of wealthy from prayers and humility.

I will work my fingers to the bone and earn from the support of loved ones.

I will labour for love to fill my coffers to the brim.

I will harness the resources of empathy and make savings from love.

I will accumulate from God’s favours and blessings and put them on reserve.

I will prosper from compassion and by sowing the seeds of love.

And I will raise my balance by banking on humanity.

If I should stumble upon fame and wealth, then I shall concede only if pure.

Only if through honest work and that it is truthfully earned will I accept.

For that tainted or soiled from evil or by the ruin of others I will not touch.

I would never be tempted by ‘easy money” nor bow down to creditors.

It should never be from another’s hard work but from my hands and sweat.

I will not sell my soul nor body to the devil for the love of power.

I would never be associated with its malevolence nor nuisance in its pursuit.

Then if it so happens to me that I am in need.

I shall withdraw from my balance of goodwill.

For I know the human mind never forgets an act of kindness.

When my life is done and I no longer live.

I shall hope to leave behind a wealth of benevolence.

It shall be the legacy I leave to my friends and family.

To take out and use if they should befall on hard times.
